Planning perspective
What to consider before reaching out
A strong first conversation is about fit, not just availability. Share your date, approximate guest count, location, and the feeling you want the day to have. Ask what is included, what typically changes the final quote, and what decisions need to be made earliest.
For a catering partner, confirm how communication works, who will be present on the day, and how the team handles changes. Pricing was not included in the supplied research, so request a current, itemized proposal directly from the business.

Where do I even start? Gina and her amazing team absolutely exceeded our expectations!!! From the very first email exchange, we felt as though we were taken care of throughout the entire planning process. Gina helped us with vendor suggestions, getting our rental needs organized, and remembering all of the itty bitty details that we might have forgotten! On the day of our wedding, Gina and her team went above and beyond (LITERALLY) making sure that my husband and I were taken care of, as well as all of our amazing guests. Their service is second to none and they truly made us feel special! And not to forget the food! Oh my goodness… We received compliment after compliment from our guests a...

Please allow me to share my thoughts on our experience with Gina Sawtelle and her team at Above & Beyond Catering. Oftentimes it is said that your wedding day is one of the most important days of your life. I don’t disagree, but have found that like most things in life, the added perspective of how your children are experiencing something becomes paramount. We all want the best experience possible on such a big day. We also want it to feel like they are surrounded by not just beautiful decor with delicious food and drink, but the truly carefree vibe and warmth of all of those whom you have chosen to be around you celebrating their happiness and union. It’s a rare and cherished time when that...

We honestly don’t even have the words to describe how amazing Gina and her team at Above & Beyond are! From the very beginning of the planning process, they made us feel so cared for and supported – like we are family. Having them there on our big day was so special, and we couldn’t imagine it without them. The food was absolutely delicious and beautifully done – and the drinks were perfect. Gina ensured we got everything on our bucket list one way or another and truly made our inspo board come to life! Our guests are still talking about how great everything was! But what stood out even more was how kind, friendly, and genuine Gina and her staff were the entire time. They made sure every de...

Absolutely 5 star rating for Above & Beyond Catering. During our planning for organizing an Airstream Caravan of 29 rigs from North Carolina to Fryeburg, Maine this past July, I contacted Gina to provide a casual catered dinner for 50+ folks when we arrived at our last overnight stop at Pine Ridge Campground in Acton, Maine. Gina was highly recommended by the owners of Pine Ridge CG and we couldn’t have been more pleased with the meal A&B Catering provided. Gina was easy to work with during the planning process and was very flexible accommodating our primary objectives for our dinner as well as our special needs. We were road weary after 5 days on the road and did not want to cook so havi...

Gina and her team were absolutely incredible to work with, from start to finish. From the very first phone call, Gina was accommodating, kind, and excited to share in our joy. Subsequent phone calls showed exceptional attention to detail and careful record-keeping that kept the event running smoothly. Gina created a wonderful menu based on our favorite foods and helped create a bar set-up that suited our mostly-sober guests. Gina seriously went above and beyond to track down my husband’s favorite beer for the night!!! The pumpkin ravioli and brisket were phenomenal. We had a dessert “platter” of unending cookies, bars, and pies which wowed the guests. Every single one of her staff were frien...
